چکیده

It is well–known [1] that, analogous to the classical group–theoretical method, the q–deformation of IGL(2) can be constructed by factoring out a certain two–sided Hopf ideal from the multiparameter q–deformation of GL(3). This is an interesting procedure, allowing, for example, the construction of a differential calculus on the quantum plane by a reduction of the differential calculus on the quantum group. In this paper, we apply the same construction to the Jordanian deformation. The multiparameter Jordanian deformation of GL(3) is first produced by a contraction from the corresponding q–deformation and this is then used to construct the inhomogeneous group by factorisation. The Hopf -structure of IGLJ(2) is given explicitly and we show that it is possible to derive from this a coaction of a modified version of GLJ(2) on the Jordanian quantum plane.

Nonstandard Poincare and Heisenberg Algebras

New deformations of the Poincare group Fun(P (1 + 1)) and its dual enveloping algebra U(p(1 + 1)) are obtained as a contraction of the hdeformed (Jordanian) quantum group Fun(SLh(2)) and its dual. A nonstandard quantization of the Heisenberg algebra U(h(1)) is also investigated. Ref. SISSA: 85/96/FM Off late, considerable interest has been generated towards the nonstandard quantization of Lie g...

CONTRACTION OF THE Gr,s QUANTUM GROUP TO ITS NON STANDARD ANALOGUE AND CORRESPONDING COLOURED QUANTUM GROUPS

The quantum group Gr,s provides a realisation of the two parameter quantum GLp,q(2) which is known to be related to the two parameter non standard GLh,h′(2) group via the contraction method. We apply the contraction procedure to Gr,s and obtain a new Jordanian quantum group Gm,k. Furthermore, we provide a realisation of GLh,h′(2) in terms of Gm,k. The contraction procedure is then extended to t...

On Some Two Parameter Quantum and Jordanian Deformations, and Their Coloured Extensions

This paper suveys some recent algebraic developments in two parameter Quantum deformations and their Nonstandard (or Jordanian) counterparts. In particular, we discuss the contraction procedure and the quantum group homomorphisms associated to these deformations. The scheme is then set in the wider context of the coloured extensions of these deformations, namely, the so-called Coloured Quantum ...

REALISATIONS OF QUANTUM GLp,q(2) AND JORDANIAN GLh,h′(2) DEEPAK PARASHAR and ROGER J. McDERMOTT

Non Standard (or Jordanian) deformations of Lie groups and Lie algebras has been a subject of considerable interest in the mathematical physics community. Jordanian deformations for GL(2) were introduced in [1,2], its two parametric generalisation given in [3] and extended to the supersymmetric case in [4]. Non Standard deformations of sl(2) (i.e. at the algebra level) were first proposed in [5...

The Coloured Quantum Plane

Abstract. We study the quantum plane associated to the coloured quantum group GL q (2) and solve the problem of constructing the corresponding differential geometric structure. This is achieved within the R-matrix framework generalising the Wess-Zumino formalism and leads to the concept of coloured quantum space. Both, the coloured Manin plane as well as the bicovariant differential calculus ex...
